Meet Molly
I am a border collie/retriever mix and have just turned 1 year old and am becoming a young lady. I was born 7/12/09. I have lost my puppy fuzz and my coat is a sleek, shiny black with feathers behind my ears and chaps. I have big, brown eyes and a very sweet face. My weight is staying at 35 lbs and while I may fill out some in the next year, I probably won't be more than 40 lbs.
I was rescued from SCRAPS in Oct '09. My foster mom thought I was probably depressed from being in the shelter and just had kennel cough but I was much sicker than that. I did have pnuemonia but when that went away it was discovered that I have a condition called mega-asopaogus which required surgery. I am now well and just have a few requirements to keep me that way. I do need to eat on an elevated surface and I have a special bowl that makes me eat slower (it will come with me when I am adopted). At a year old, this condition is totally under control.
I am an active and playful. I love to play at short intervals and then settle down to watch TV with you. I am mischievous around cats; if I can entice them to run I would be happy to chase them but my foster mom's cats just lay there and put up with me poking them.
I would be a great additon to a home with another dog that likes to play. Or, if you are home most of the time and am looking for a companion to be your buddy, I would love that too. I also travel well in the car.
I am ready and waiting to meet you! Please call my foster mom, Sue, at 509-924-0306 or email her at sueandcritters@yahoo.com to arrange a meeting or find out more about me.
