Gingersnap German Shepherd Dog Mix Dallas, TX

Gingersnap is a 4 year old German Shepherd female (we suspect she is a slight mix). Ginger's owner died and she was dumped at the shelter. Ginger was briefly adopted, but was returned for being too interested in the cat that was a member of the family. They stressed that she never hurt the cat - just wanted to chase her. Very much a Shepherd - if it runs, they'll chase it!


Ginger is a wonderful companion and a well mannered lady. She loves everyone! Ginger rides well in a car and has obviously walked a lot on a leash. She is also housebroken. Ginger is fine with other dogs and is quite playful and puppylike. .


Ginger is on the small side and will be easy to include in all family activites. Ginger is highly athletic and can easily go over any wire fencing and jump a 5' fence. So she will require stockade fencing. The amazing thing about her is that she just likes to check outthe neighborhood. She never gets into trouble - doesn't chase livestock - just likes to hang out in their pasture with them. She is highly social with people and animals.

We keep our website very current and remove dogs if they are adopted or have an adoption pending as we realize how disappointing it is to think you've found the perfect companion only to learn they are no longer available. If a dog is listed on our "Adoptable Pets" page, we are currently accepting applications for their adoption.
