Meet Zelda (adopted)

ZZ is a wonderful cat who is in search of a new home. She is the perfect mixture of independent and social. ZZ enjoys being around people. Besides hanging with her people you can find her in one of her favorite cozy nap spots. She is a real snuggler. She will let you hold her for hours, sideways upside in your lap, it doesn't matter as long as there is some petting to be had.

She is blind and has been since birth. We are constantly amazed by her resilience, intelligence, and wholehearted trust in us. Once ZZ is familiar with her surroundings, you'd never know that she is blind. She chases her tail, she likes to run and dive under furniture just like your average cat.

Zelda is six years old. We think that she'd prefer to be an only kitty. She has lived with a dog in the past ;however, it would be best if she were in a more calm, predictable, household. She would not be a good candidate to live with small children. She would feel most comfortable in a quiet home with people who are willing to donate their laps to her during the day, and a spot next to them under the covers at night. That's right, she will sleep with her head on your pillow and her body under the covers for nearly the whole night... isn't that adorable!?

Zelda is in San Francisco. If you are interested in meeting her please fill out the adoption application via our website.

Wonder Cat Rescue is not a shelter, but a team of caring foster homes and volunteers who open our own homes to needy cats until permanent placement can be found. By adopting a cat from Wonder Cat Rescue, you're making a commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the cat, which can be up to 20 years or more. Adopting a cat is a serious decision, but a very rewarding one!
We make every effort to make the best possible match when placing our cats/kittens with new families. Each adoptive homes is screened carefully, and a lot of support is given to make sure the adoption is a success.
