When it comes to relationships, I'm very level-headed. I don't leap in paws first, if you know what I mean. But give me a little time, and then I'll shower you with purrs, head-butts, and plenty of lap time. In the meantime, you may not see a lot of me - but I'll be thinking of you!

Is it safe to come out? Okay, let's talk. You wouldn't believe what I've been through lately! I started off life on the right foot, living with my cat mom and brother as well as my human family. They took great care of us and I was very happy there. Then, out of nowhere, my humans moved to a place that--can you believe this?--didn't allow cats! So they gave away my mom and brother, and brought me into this huge, scary place with over a hundred other cats and a bunch of human strangers. I won't lie; the food's good and the litterboxes are clean. But there's more to life than a full belly and a bed to sleep in! To quote the Beatles, "All you need is love!"


I really do try my best to be brave in this new place. A lot of my neighbor cats at the shelter have really got it down! They meow and flirt and rub up against the cage bars like old pros. As for me, I've never been a social butterfly. I prefer a few very close friends to a bunch of acquaintances. When you first see me, I may not stand out right away--but you're really missing out if you don't introduce yourself. Once someone starts petting me or lets me up onto their lap, I just melt into a purring rag doll. Please come out and get to know the real me, and maybe take me home to a place where I can feel safe!


Kane is waiting to meet you at the Cascade Station Petsmart store. Adoption hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4 or by appointment.
