Bailey Parson Russell Terrier & Dachshund Mix Sylva, NC

Bailey and her brother, Riley were brought to ARF by their owners. They had been previously adopted by a family from Florida who had to leave NC suddenly and couldn't take the dogs. ARF was told that the puppies' parents were a Jack Russell and a Boston Bull dog. The puppies don't look like that at all, but look like Dachshund mixes. If they are a Dachshund/Jack Russell mix, that makes them very low to the ground, but can jump very high to make up for it. Bailey is 3 1/2 months old. Her litter was born on April 1st. Bailey is brown, weighs about 8 lbs, and is very friendly and lively. She get frightened by small, loud children. She will be available for pick up only after she has had her spay surgery. (July 21st) She could, however, be adopted immediately (paperwork) and held until a day after the surgery. For the $70 adoption fee, this animal will have 2 puppy shots, (with a coupon for the remaining required shot,) worming, and spay/ neuter--and sometimes a considerable investment of services and treatments.
Because of this animal's uncertain history, we assume he or she is not housebroken unless we have stated otherwise. However, most dogs are trainable and eager to please. ARF will happily advise prospective owners about crate training and the latest housebreaking tools.

We set up at our new location on 50 Railroad Street, Sylva, NC every Saturday from noon until 4 or 5 PM. You can also view animals by making an appointment with the foster parent. Get approximate directions from your location.
