Lakota German Shepherd Dog Mix Spokane Valley, WA

My owner quit her job and decided to move to Oregon to start over, but her dogs were not part of her plans. I was turned into SCRAPS, along with my forever friend, Dozer. We were then rescued by Partners For Pets and given a second chance to find our forever home. We have been together since we were puppies and are now seven years old. I am very shy and timid and Dozer is very protective of me. Dozer lost one of his front legs from an accident when he was a puppy but he gets around just fine. Both of us are very smart, well-mannered, and know the commands sit, down, back, lie down, and no! We have been outside dogs but our foster mom lets us come inside and we think it is great!!


We do howl at train whistles, and are afraid of magazines and water hoses; both of which will make us run. I am also afraid of loud noises such as fireworks and loud music.


We really want to stay together since all we have really had is each other! My foster mom says two dogs are better than one anyway! We would be great as a couple of good ol' farm dogs too. Since I am a shy dog I will need a loving, patient owner that is willing to work with me and gain my trust.
