Hazel Boston Terrier Mix Memphis, TN

Hazel is approximately 8 months old and weighs 13 pounds. Her features are small and she will probably not exceed 15 pounds full-grown. When first introduced to new dogs, she is a little aggressive, though she warms up quickly. She loves human interaction and wants to cuddle as much as possible. Hazel is housebroken, crate trained, and is incredibly smart. Within 24 hours of being with her foster parents, already knows the commands of "sit" and "down." Hazel seems to enjoy people so much that she could easily be an only dog, though she is warming up to the other dog in her foster home quickly with positive reinforcement. She has been very respectful of the two cats in her foster house and does not seem to consider them a threat (or a toy!). Hazel's favorite activities are sleeping and cuddling on the couch, taking walks, laying in the sunshine, playing with toys, and learning new tricks.

As a breed, Boston Terriers are attentive to their owners, full of energy - hard players and hard sleepers, good watch-dogs, heat-sensitive, and sweet-natured. As a side note to potential owners: Boston Terriers should be given very durable chew toys! They are very respectful of your belongings and don't tend to chew anything other than their toys, but have a strong chewing instinct, so they will need the most durable toys.
