My name is Mei-Ling.
I am a very pretty 14 yr old black and white Shih Tzu girl and weigh 12 pounds
My prior owners were very abusive. They thought nothing of kicking and hitting me with their fists. Thank goodness this wonderful lady from the humane society stepped in, saved me and asked PATR to welcome me into their loving environment. I had a very large kidney stone removed and am on a raw diet and supplements which will need to be continued when I am adopted with frequent checkups from the vet. I am a very needy little girl who wants as much laptime as possible. The other pupsters are OK, but I just sit back and watch them play. I would prefer to be the one and only. I love my Mom, but am more drawn to my Dad. I enjoy walks, car rides and going whereever Mom and Dad go. After all I have been through, it would be wonderful to find a nice quiet home with no small children, no other pets and a Mom/Dad that could be home with me 24/7.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is an extremely important factor in my overall health.  Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products.  I am enjoying a yummy chicken & veggie mix raw diet now.  Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets.  Please read about my special diet.  To supplement my healthy raw diet, Mom adds NuVet Plus Vitamins for a complete balanced meal of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.  I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on my Oma's Pride raw diet. 
I am house trained and do well during grooming.
I am UTD on shots, spayed, tested heart worm negative, on a monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection.
