We are a 100% volunteer 501c3 rescue dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of primarily the bully breed type dogs. We believe education and advocacy of spay and neuter programs plays a key role in declining our pet over-crowding in shelters. We rescue all breed types of dogs based on need, but stick to our bully breed types primarily as they are the ones that are in most need for help. Through education and advocacy we also hope to break the stigma surrounding this breed and end the cruelty to which they are subjected to by people.
Because we are a home/foster-based rescue, for the safety of our dogs and our volunteers, we do require an application be submitted prior to scheduling any meet and greet. Once we receive the application we begin processing it. We do require a vet reference and two personal references and do perform background checks. Once we complete those checks we call you for an interview and to answer any questions you may have as well as go over in depth more of our rescue policies. From there we schedule the meet and greet and home check. If all goes well we draw up the foster or adoption contract and, if adopting, require the fee of $250.00( which is considered a donation for your tax purposes) to be paid as well as the contract signed and in our possession prior to transfer of custody of your new family member. All of our dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption and we also do a "check out checkup" with our vet prior to transfer of custody to ensure the dog is all UTD and there aren't any surprises.
