Our Mission
In July 2014, an elderly man who was very involved in TNR (trap-neuter-return) of feral colonies passed away, leaving roughly 30 cats in the south Austin, Texas area needing homes. Sadly, he had no will, his property went through probate, and the heirs wanted the cats from the home colony gone. These were cared-for, fixed cats of all ages, sizes, and colors. Some were friendly, some were friendly once they got to know you, and some were feral.
Three women (Linda, Deanna and Jennifer) worked together and formed Orphan Cat Colony to get all of the cats from his home adopted. Once they found homes, efforts began to find homes for some of the friendly cats from the free-roaming colonies Mr. Joe had also mainta
