Adoption Policy
For cats: We have all free-roaming cats and kittens (unless not socialized or sick). We highly encourage people to come in, sit down, and let the cat choose you. We like for the adopters to know the cats' personalities and if they have any special traits to them before adopting to make sure it fits their lifestyle. After choosing a cat, we get them to complete the pre-adoption agreement. This goes into detail on housing (if they are moving soon, if their house is loud or quiet, if their house has lots of people in and out or it’s more calm, other animals in the home, if the animal will be left outside by itself for long periods, etc). We also get their vets' information and call the vet to ensure they take care of their current animals. If all goes well with the vet call, they can fill out an official adoption agreement and start their journey with their new cat.
For dogs: We highly encourage people to come in, sit down, play and interact with the dogs. We like for the adopters to know the dogs' personalities and if they have any special traits to them before adopting to make sure it fits their lifestyle. After choosing a dog, we get them to complete the pre-adoption agreement. This goes into detail on housing (if they are moving soon, if their house is loud or quiet, if their house has lots of people in and out or it’s more calm, other animals in the home, if the animal will be left outside by itself for long periods, etc). We also get their vets' information and call the vet to ensure they take care of their current animals.
