Pet Adoptions of Cuero is a non-profit animal shelter in Cuero, Texas, built on the dedication of individuals that saw a need and knew they couldn't just sit idly by. Since 2012, these individuals have not only created a permanent shelter, but the all-volunteer staff oversees shelter operations to ensure all pets receive adequate food, water, medical care, and socialization. In 2012, we became a bona fide 501c3 non-profit, and Pet Adoptions as an organization has been growing ever since. Pet Adoptions has always been and will remain a volunteer-run organization, with no paid employees, to ensure that the focus of our staff is always only on the welfare of the animals.
We are constantly taking dogs and cats that are picked up by animal control, getting them up to date on vaccinations, and caring for them until we can find them the perfect forever homes. Animals are currently available to be seen by ap
As small as Cuero is, we still have more stray animals than we can handle. Our small group of volunteers work hard to give these dogs and cats the care they deserve until they can find their forever homes. We keep our adoption fees as reasonable as possible to incentivize potential adopters to adopt local. We don't have the same selection as some of the bigger city shelters, but rest assured we have incredible furry friends up for adoption. Adoption fees for puppies and kittens (under approximately 3 months) is $50. Puppies and kittens over 3 months old, and full-grown dogs and cats of non-unique breeds are $75 un-spayed and un-neutered, and if you fall in love with a furry friend that is already fixed or a rarer breed, you can expect to pay an adoption fee slightly higher than that. Walk-ins are welcome during normal business hours, and outside of regular business hours appointments can be made to visit the shelter by e-mailing us at email@example.com, or calling us on the phone at (361)
