Sinbad-Sadie Second Chance Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit which began in January of 2015 with the goal of reducing euthanasia in area animal shelters. Most of the animals in our rescue were at risk of being put to sleep due to lack of space, time, monetary resources, and/or potential adopters at these shelters.Currently, all animals are in foster homes. Many of our dogs have medical issues such as heart worms and that treatment is costly. If you would like to donate to our cause there are several options:
1) our paypal account (account name firstname.lastname@example.org)
2) directly into our bank account (First National Bank of South Carolina),
3) donations to our medical bill (Best Friends Animal Clinic in Hanahan, SC or Old Trolley Animal Clinic in Summerville, SC)
4) by visiting our business partner Pet Supplies Plus in Summerville or Goose Creek, SC. (Checks should be made out to Sinbad-Sadie Second Chance Rescue)
After we receive an application for adoption, we will review it and contact you to discuss any issues and/or set up a time for you to meet the dog(s) of interest. We do a home visit and a seven day trial period before the adopter signs the final paperwork.
Adoption fees are paid at the beginning of a trial period. A partial refund can be given if the dog is returned before the end of the trial period. Adoption fees are usually $250 for puppies (med-large) and $300 for small puppies (at adult size). Adults are $150-$300 depending on size with small dogs and full bred dogs having a higher adoption fee. Adoption fees do not cover the cost of spay/neuter/vaccines/microchip/dewormer/heart worm treatment and prevention and the rescue holds fundraisers to cover those costs.
