Our Mission
HM Pooches Rescue and Sanctuary is dedicated to helping Dalmatians and special needs animals through education, placement, and lifelong care.
Adoption Policy
All potential adopters must fill out an application and include veterinary and personal references. We then contact the applicant to interview them about their household, specifically their current pets, children, activity level and expectations for their new family member. From there, we match our adopters to dogs we feel would be best suited for their household. We do a home visit (this can be virtual if out of an area without a volunteer) and from there our applicants foster the dog they have been matched to. Adoptions are not finalized until the dog has been with the "foster to adopt" family for at least two weeks. Since implementing this process, we have not had a return for any reason other than the adopter's health.
