On October 9, 2013 my husband, Mark, and I brought home our first puppy, Maggie. We always knew she was special! A couple of years later we were discussing opening a rescue, and Mark came up with Maggies Mutt Mission. After becoming a member of the St. Clair County Animal Welfare Advocates, I saw a need for more rescues and foster homes in our county. On May 18, 2017, with the support of Mark, Amy King (my TNR/rescue partner in crime), and all of the advocates, Maggies Mutt Mission officially opened. Two days later we rescued our first litter of kittens! We are a small, foster-based rescue with big dreams! Until they are all home!
Making a furry addition to your family is a very important decision. All potential forever families must submit a completed adoption application. Information on the application will be verified. To ensure that each animal is matched to a compatible forever home, we require a minimum of 1 meet & greet session. All family members who will live in the home with the animal should be present at the meet & greet. St. Clair TNR & Rescue reserves the right to deny any applicant and may also require an additional meet & greet at the potential adopters home to meet animals currently living in the home.
