Our Mission - The Humane Society of Florida rescues at-risk dogs from kill shelters. We care for them in limited-population foster-care environments and find them great new homes.
No Surrender Policy - We have never and we will not consider accepting surrendered pets from the public for any reason. We will not enable those who have chosen to seek this alternative to proper care of animals. Please do not call us if you are seeking to renege on your responsibility to your pet as we will not respond to your inquiries.
We always have a selection of dogs available for adoption. All dogs are required to maintain a current rabies vaccination in accordance with local laws. Our fees include: current vaccinations, free pet health exam, pet care sample kit with valuable coupons, and a “Home Again” Identification Microchip. Every dog that leaves our care has been spayed or neutered. In addition to the adoption fee, make sure you are ready to assume all the other costs of owning this pet.
All of the adoption partners for Humane Society of Florida have total autonomy to show you the dogs in their care and to process your adoption application. Please feel comfortable working with our Adoption Ambassadors and making arrangements to select the very best pet for your needs. Please check the location given for the dog you are interested in.
