Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue
Our Mission
Smooch Pooch Dog Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue organization comprised of all volunteers. We rescue dogs from high kill shelters, many of them the day they are to be euthanized and give them a second chance at life. We also rescue stray dogs and abandoned animals and find loving homes for them. We cover all vetting and behavioral training prior to placing our dogs.
Adoption Policy
We are NOT a shelter, we are a small private non-profit animal rescue organization run by volunteers. We do not have an actual facility and we do not have operating hours. All of our dogs are in foster homes until their forever homes are found.
The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application on our main website prior to coming to meet the animal(s) you are interested in. We show our dogs by appointment and we DO NOT operate on a first come basis but rather the best suited home for our animals. The application can be found at www.smoochpoochrescue.com and will give us an idea if the animal will be a good match for you, your family and lifestyle. We also require an adoption contract, adoption fee (which varies per dog) and home visit.
We do not typically adopt out of the Southern California area and we DO NOT transport.
