Would you like to make a wish come true for 2 amazing horses? Saffyre Sanctuary and The Horse Project in Santa Barbara collaborated to save these wonderful boys! Rebel and Miller are in temporary foster care in Santa Barbara and they need to be adopted as a pair.

Rebel and Miller were ranch horses until about 5 years ago when they went to a trail riding stable. When COVID hit and the barn could not be opened to full capacity, they remained in pasture. Due to financial issues, they were going to be put down in November, but are currently at a temporary foster care home, with The Horse Project volunteers caring for them.

Rebel (24) is personality plus, a comic, but extremely well mannered and mellow. He has an arthritic knee but walks out well and can do light trotting. No steep hills. Miller (34), his companion is sound and an absolute teddy bear. They are both quarter horses, and stand around 15 hands. They have been completely vetted and up-to-date under our intake protocol with x-rays for Rebel, dental work, and feet done. Rebel has had a trainer who evaluated him for riding and they are ready to go to a wonderful new home. The amazing volunteers at The Horse Project love them and cannot believe how easy and well behaved they are. These boys are the ultimate family/beginner horses. You do not find horses like this every day!
