Hi my name is Midnight! I am a 16-year-old TWH mare standing 15hands tall. I am currently in rehab.

Midnight has been through a lot in her life and most defiantly was not handled well by men. I've spent a lot of time with her and she has been a gem. However, a previous adopter (male) informed me that she is aggressive and dangerous as well as food aggressive. Having been told this I do keep those things in mind but also want to know her for who she is. I have yet to see any signs of aggression aka kicking, bitting or rearing towards me or anyone here. I've taken her trail riding on multiple occasions both with other horses and alone and she has been an easy partner. She did hesitate a few times with new obstacles but works her way through it.

From all I've noticed with her I believe she was most likely abused and possibly shown in the big lick. Which besides all the things they do in training she most likely was kept in a stall for most of her life. I believe she is likely unaccustomed to living in a pasture and can come a cross as pushy. However, I've found her to be more hard to catch out in the pasture than aggressive. Midnight loves being groomed and stands for the vet and farrier. She is a gentle spirit. Unfortunately she came back in rough condition and needs to gain weight before she is ridden much. She has recently had her teeth floated and we are hoping that helps her be able to eat better.

Midnight has a sweet personality deep inside but it will take someone that is easy going and understanding of her. NOT someone who is high strung or over confident and tries to push her past her comfort zone. We will only adopt her to a female owner.
