Meet Luna
Hi, my name is Luna! I am a 14.2h 10-year-old Arabian Mare.
I am a beautiful black Arabian mare with silver highlights in my tail. I spent my early years running wild, or so I thought, on a ranch in TX. A few years ago a nice lady took me home and started trying to bond with me. I wasn’t so sure and definitely gave her a run for her money at times. She did me well and always let me take time to trust and become comfortable with whatever we were working on. We did obstacle courses and a lot of in hand learning and fun stuff. I am a VERY sensitive horse and don’t require much pressure, either good or bad. My owner used that sensitivity to her advantage and taught me to be very light. She never put a bit in my mouth and was very gentle. Sadly she got injured awhile ago and her doc said she should be careful who she rides. So she brought me here to make sure I end up in a great home. It took me a good couple weeks to settle in here and relax. The trainers have only started to spend time with me more recently. I hope they are able to place me in a safe home that understands how to be gentle and quiet.
Luna is a nice little mare that needs a quiet person to love her and finish her training. I have saddled her up and worked on ground stuff, obstacles, lunging, trailering, & more. She is a snortty kinda girl and definitely lets you know what she’s thinking. She picks up all her feet and stands tied quietly. She yields her hind and fore ends with little to no pressure and as I mentioned would do best with someone that is very soft and quiet. I would recommend a training home.
