Meet Genie

Genie came to us in very poor condition along with 22 other horses rescued from a neglect case. She had been starved nearly to death. She is a good weight now and has become more relaxed. She has the Mustang brand and was the only mustang in the rescue group. She is halter trained but is hard to catch when loose in the field. She needs a home with someone that used positive reward based training/gentle hand to gain her trust. She can be haltered easiest if she is in a stall or paddock enclosure. She will try to evade being haltered but once the halter is on she settles down and leads well, enjoys the brush and picks up her feet nicely. She is sound and an easy keeper. She needs a loving place to spend her senior years. We suspect she has been trained under saddle but have not done any work of that kind with her since being rescued. She needs another horse for companionship and if you don't have one we will be happy to send a buddy home with her for a special 2 for 1 adoption fee. She really would like to be someone's beautiful pasture buddy.
