Daisy comes into the smaller pen every morning for breakfast and with a little patience I have been able to catch her. She is a little scared until you start petting her and than she seems to relax. She still needs time to learn how to lead but she is coming along.
I grew up in a field and never saw much of humankind until one day some rough guys came and loaded me up on their trailer. I was confused and so scared I was shaking. After a while they opened the door but I didn’t want to come out so they beat me till I ran for fright. After a long day being pushed around with crowds of people I was left alone, no food, no water. The next day someone came and loaded me up with several horses. Several hours later the trailer stopped and the door was opened. It was bright and sunny outside and there was grass like where I’d lived forever. I hoped to be left to graze the rest of my life but who really knows what will happen.
Daisy is sweet, she just doesn’t seem to have ever been handled by people and is frightened. She does come near if you have food and with time she’ll be more confident. There’s no telling what she’s been through and what walls she needs to let down but she’s a sweet girl and deserves the best home. She is not halter trained.
