Meet Zorro - $400

Hello! I am Zorro, a 1-year-old, 59lb neutered male husky mix. My former owner could not take care of me anymore due to divorce and being a single mom, so I am looking for a new forever family.
Not to brag, but everyone says that I am handsome, with bright white fur and two-color eyes. And, everyone tells me I am a good boy! I am a bit shy and nervous at first, but once I get used to a new environment, I will be your great companion. I have energy and enjoy my walks and play time. I LOVE squeaky toys and taking the squeaker out from the stuffed animals. I can catch a ball pretty well, but I am not all-in on this fetch game yet. I used to live with a human kids, so I know how to behave around young kids. My foster family has two cats. They are interesting! I want to sniff them when they come close, but oh let me tell you, they let me know when they do not want me to sniff them! Of course, I do not bother them after that. My foster sister and I get along ok. I really want to play with her all the time! However, I annoy her sometimes when I do this too much, so she gets mad. You know, I need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation, but once I am tired, I will lay next to my foster family and enjoy cuddling with them. So far I have been sleeping in my foster parents’ room on the floor by their bed – I like to stay close. I am fine staying in a crate. I may complain a bit but will settle down and sleep. I know how to behave in the house. There is no problem doing my business outside, and not to chew on stuff except my toys. Walking on the leash? I am working on it! It is sometimes hard not to pull, because I am so excited about going outside. My foster family think I will do great as a running or hiking companion, and that I may like to have my own backpack to carry things. I also enjoy going on a car ride. I have not been to the dog park yet, but I am sure I will love it! Oh! I know how to sit when I’m told and shake my paw.
What do you think? Do you want to be my forever family?

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:

Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs.
