Meet Zoey
Hello! My name is Zoey! If you are looking for a fabulous girl, I'm the one for you!
A little about my past...I'm about 10 years old. My dad got me when I was around 2. We had a great
life together. He would take me to the store, we would wrestle, go for walks and I even was able to
sleep in bed with him. I loved my dad. However, his circumstances changed, and he thought that
someone would be able to give me a better life. Honestly, I'm still a little confused about that because
I thought I had a great life, but into foster care I went. Â
I'm being fostered in the Cincinnati area, and I think I've made a good impression. My foster mom
has 2 small dogs. I really like them. I'm about 70 pounds so at first they were a little taken aback by
me, but we are buddies now. We go to the dog park, and we run together, we sleep together, and I
really like having a couple of friends with me all the time.
When I go to the dog park, I will say hello to the people there and I will also run with other dogs. I
don't cause any trouble at all. My foster mom says that I am about the sweetest girl she's been
around.Â
I do have some anxiety though. When I first came to my foster home, I was crated when my foster
parents had to leave. I would bark and I did tear up my bed. However, I didn't try to hurt myself or
get out of my crate. When I went to the vet, my foster mom explained my anxiety to him, and he gave
me some medicine that I take every day. Wow! It is a miracle drug because I feel so much better.Â
Now when my foster parents leave, they don't even put me in the crate. I get to have the whole
house to myself, and I've never torn up anything! I would suggest that you keep me on this
medicine. The medicine does not make me sluggish. I still have all my Weim personality, but my
insides feel so much better.
My foster mom cannot believe that I am almost 10 years old. I had my blood work done at the vet's
office and it was perfect! She says I have the energy of a 6-year-old Weim. I love to play and wrestle
and run, but I will also snuggle with you for hours while you binge watch your favorite Netflix show!Â
She thinks the best part of me is that because I am a little older, I have all the great qualities of a
Weim, but not the manners of a puppy. I don't potty in the house. I don't jump on you. I will give you
a "hug" if you ask for one. I'm very gentle when I'm given treats and as I mentioned, I'm a great
snuggle bunny. Â
A couple of weeks ago I was spayed, had my teeth cleaned and one tooth removed, so you are
getting me at my best. I'm heartworm negative and take prevention medicine every month. I also am
on flea prevention, microchipped, and had all my vaccinations.
I would love to find my forever home. I hope that you are the one who is looking for someone just like
me.
