Meet Zoey - ADOPTED!!

Meet Zoey! A Good Samaritan found this adorable little puppy nugget abandoned and took her into safety, then reached out to rescue for help. She's currently being fostered in a home with two foster parents and 3 other pups, and has lived with cats too. She does well with all. Zoey's foster mom, Kristin, finds her so entertaining and describes her as fun with a bit of sassy mixed in.

Kristin shared this update:

"I LOVE Zoey! She is so much fun! She came into my house like she owned it! No issues with my dog but they think she's crazy. Zoey does play with my dogs but the are not as energetic as she is. She plays most with my dog, Mo, who is curious about the tiny tornado that has entered his home. Mo can be cranky around some dogs but took quickly to Zoey. He is amused by this tiny bolt of energy with the powerful big dog bark..

Zoey is a social butterfly who gets along well with everyone! She has the best personality - She's very affectionate and can cuddle with the best of them. She has spurts of puppy energy, but can settle down as long as she gets some fetch and playtime worked in. She is crate trained and sleeps in it all night without a peep. She is an early riser so no need to set an alarm.

"Her daily schedule after breakfast is first she spends 20 minutes in the yard trying to eat bugs, then 20 min of crazy wrestling with Mo until he passes out, then she does zoomies on her own for 10 min, then she heads into the basement by herself for some crazy wrestling with toys. She comes back up the stairs to find other toys, and will finally take a nap once her energy is drained. It's a busy first couple hours of our day. lol.

Zoey definitely needs a play buddy. She is so much calmer when she has a dog to make her tired. They spend hours wrestling throughout the day but then chill out. When she naps, she sleeps hard. She just goes off and tucks herself in. She finds a small space and sleeps. Her favorite spot is a dog bed on the floor of the closet."

As far as house manners, Zoey has done well with potty training and sleeps in her crate at night with no accidents. She takes her guard dogs duties seriously and likes to bark at passersby, so she's probably not an ideal condo dog. She is also pretty vocal when she's excited, especially for walk time. Her foster mom is working on her leash skills to get her exposed to a more urban life. She barks for the first few blocks, but then calms down as you walk more.

Zoey is adorable, charming, and all puppy...She will infuse fun and energy into your home and fit in with most packs - the more, the merrier. She's tiny, though (only 8 lbs), so probably best in a home with kids out of the toddler stage.

Preference will be given to homes with another dog, and a securely fenced yard is a priority.
