Meet Zoey

Zoey is a 7-year-old Great Dane/Basset mix who came to the Shelter because she was very protective of the women in her home. Zoey walks well on a leash, is house -trained, is in great health for her age, and tolerates calm dogs. Zoey doesn't like small animals like cats or rabbits and needs to be in a home without these critters.

Zoey's new home should only have females in the home because she is very wary of men. If she is with a woman and a man is nearby, she will assume she needs to protect the woman and will act aggressively towards the man. Without men around, Zoey is very calm and sweet.

All dogs are fixed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated and heartworm/lyme tested before adoption. Adoption fees are $360 for a dog, $460 for a puppy, and $250 for a dog with special needs or senior over 10 years old.
