Meet Zoey
Zoey is almost one year old and weighs approximately 40lbs. She is very energetic! She is a Treeing Walker Coon-hound mix. Her foster mom and dad walk her once or twice a day and some days they take Zoey for a jog. The type of exercise or play doesn't seem to mater as long as she gets enough exercise to burn up her energy and keep her out of mischief. Zoey was a stray who was given a second chance by a very kind women who makes it her mission to rescue dogs in need. She is spayed, up to date on her vaccines and micro-chipped.
Zoey loves people and other dogs. She likes to meet and greet when her foster parents walk her in their neighborhood, but sometimes the hound dog bellow is a little intimidating. Because Zoey was a stray, it took a while to house train her, but she understands now. Zoey isn't vocal, she goes to the door and stands there looking at the door and then over her shoulder at her foster parents. She prefers to go potty in ground cover, leaves etc., but she will use the yard if that is all that is available.
Zoey considers the cat that belongs to her foster family to be a toy. She never hurts the cat, but she does like to chase and bark at the cat, which is 5 years old and not interested in playing with Zoey. She would do better in a home without cats.
