Zoey Jack Russell Terrier Mix Toronto, ON

This Southern gal is a total bundle of fun and energy. She is friendly with everyone, loves to play with other dogs and loves her toys (tugs, balls, bottles, whatever she can find.) She will play fetch for hours.

Zoey is about 2 years old, is house trained, crate trained, and loves to travel in a car. She has had some obedience training and knows her name, sits and comes when called.

She loves walks, but pulls on her leash so will require some leash training.She is a snuggle bunny, loves attention and especially loves doing things with her humans. Zoey would do well in an active, busy home and would do great with a performance family or in a home with another young, playful dog.

While a bit nervous when first meeting strangers, Zoey warms up very quickly. She is amazingly gentle when taking treats, has no aggressive issues and is happy to wait patiently for her dinner in a room full of dogs while they are eating.

Zoey was the casualty of a divorce with neither side wanting her, but due to the kindness of many, she came to our rescue. While she is certainly bigger than any dog we have had at JRTRO (54 lbs), Zoey is all heart and we are very pleased that we could be part of the team that saved her. Zoey doesn't seem to be aware of her size at all - maybe she thinks she is a 10 lb JRT!???? She is still very puppyish, but I'm sure will 'grow into herself' shortly!

Zoey is spayed, has had her DHLPP, Rabies and Bordetella vaccines and was confirmed Heartworm negative on February 27, 2019.
