Although Zoe’s appearance may not match the typical Great Pyrenees look, her DNA test confirms her mix, and she’ll be a perfect match for the family who adopts her.
.
Meet Zoe, a sweet 18-24 month old rescue pup from Texas, now looking for her forever home in New England. According to genetic testing, Zoe is a mix of Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, and 10 other breeds. She’s a short-haired, spayed girl who is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. Zoe is a favorite at daycare and spends two days a week there, where she gets along well with other dogs and listens to commands.
What Zoe Loves:
Playing with other dogs at daycare and the dog park
Curling up on soft blankets and snuggling under the covers to sleep
Going on hikes
What Zoe Likes:
Riding in the car and going on walks
Training (she’s very food-motivated)
Food puzzles and playing hide-and-seek in the house
What Zoe Dislikes:
Being restrained on the leash
Being separated from her owners by a dog gate
Other dogs walking by the house without the chance to say hello
Bicycles
Zoe would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard in a quieter, non-urban area. Her ideal family is active, committed to her ongoing training, and able to meet her exercise needs. While Zoe has had limited interactions with babies and children, she is generally good with kids who are already comfortable around dogs. It’s worth noting that Zoe may need time to adjust, especially in a new environment.
We recommend a home without cats, but Zoe could get used to having another dog in the house. Initially, she should be fed separately from other dogs, as she can be protective of her food.
