Meet Ziti
Meet Ziti! She is about 5 months old, 26 lbs and looks like she may have some lab or hound in her mix. Ziti beat parvo and is finally ready to find the family she deserves. She is a very happy puppy who gets along equally well with people and dogs. Ziti will need to join a family who will teach her about house training, leash walking and crate training. Ziti would happily live with other dogs, kids 5+, and/or confident, dog savvy cats.
In addition, adopters should be home for the majority of the day (including post-pandemic) and have a positive reinforcement trainer picked out to enroll their dog with. Force-free training classes/sessions are required for all adopted dogs in order to set them and their new families up for success. Adopters should be prepared to also continue their dog's socialization and experiences with new people, places, and things, as well as expect to help them fine tune any previous training.
Her foster says, "Off to great start on leash for young pup. Loves to leash walk. She would love to go on long walks and hikes with her family, loves chew bones and balls, loves to cuddle with you on couch to nap, feels lonely in crate when her people aren't (but working on this), amazingly respectful of our dogs (9 years and 2 years), has not jumped on or annoyed them. She loves to play with Koda and is a perfect playmate. Not nippy, never angry, shares toys. She never bothers our older dog, Gracie. She doesn't chew on things, is not barky, loves people and other dogs and is extremely affectionate. Loves to walk on leash and is great walking companion (I use- and recommend- a harness). I can sincerely say that she will be a great family member."
She is available for adoption with an approved adopter in N. Dartmouth, MA on August 6th. Please fill out an application at www.browndogcoalition.com/adoption as a first step.
