Zinnia's Story
ZINNIA #884

Age: 6.5 years old

Color & Breed: Red/White Basset

Gender: Spayed Female

Weight: 49 pounds

Zinnia #884 was once a closed blossom in part of a puppy mill system. She came to MNBR, where she has slowly been blooming in foster care. This 6.5-year-old girl is naturally curious and is enjoying being part of a basset pack, although she’d enjoy having someone’s full attention, too.

Zinnia loves to explore, getting in her steps and taking a cruise around her foster home’s fenced-in backyard. But she also enjoys a comfortable dog bed or spot on the couch. Her tail is always wagging and her foster family swears she’s trying to talk to them. When they’re away, she lounges in her crate, patiently waiting for them to return. She walks well on a leash and is a big fan of exploratory walkabouts.

Wouldn’t you love a Zinnia of your very own?

For more information on adopting with MNBR visit https://www.mnbassetrescue.com/adoption

MNBR adopts locally as much as possible so we can properly support our foster dogs and adopters if the need arises. We accept applications from within the following areas: all of Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin and other applicants within a 6 ½ hour radius of our headquarters in St. Paul, MN.

Minnesota Basset Rescue (MNBR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue based in Minnesota. MNBR rehomes dogs from owners who can no longer provide their care and rescues dogs from local pounds and shelters. Our organization provides safe, loving foster home, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities while working hard to find them a permanent, loving home!
