Zeus German Shepherd Dog Chicago, IL

Zeus was surrendered to Vermilion county animal control when his owner could no longer care for him. He was born 5/20/2020 and weighs about 75 pounds. He has spent some time in foster care which has allowed us to assess his personality and he is now ready for his forever home. Zeus can be described as attentive, intelligent, protective, and a velcro dog. He is good with both men and women, but attached quickly to his foster mom. Zeus is currently fostered with a female Malinois and cats that are dog-savvy and he is good with all of the animals in his foster home. He has also played with a variety of other puppies and adult dogs while in foster, and while occasionally he is a bit pushy, he takes corrections well and enjoys the company of other dogs. Due to Zeus’s tendency to resource guard his person around other people, he will not be placed with children. He is housebroken, crate trained, and has some obedience training. He has been given a solid start in his foster home, but his adoptive home will need to continue training with him. Zeus is a magnificent boy with many wonderful qualities and will thrive in a GSD experienced home.
