Zenon Belgian Shepherd / Malinois The Dalles, OR

Zedis lapedis! It's Zenon, girl of the 21st century! Zenon was a stray so what we know about her we're learning along the way. We think she's about 7 or 8 months old and believe she may be mixed with a German Shepherd.

Zenon is currently in a foster home with other dogs and cats. She's interested in cats but is very timid if they stand up to her in anyway. Like most dogs, she will still chase if they run away. She is potty trained, crate trained and does not show any signs of separation anxiety.

She has had some training in the past and knows sit and down very well. Going forward she will need a lot of training regarding food. Patience around meal times, not getting food off the counter and not guarding food from other dogs.

While Malinois are not the ideal breed for first-time dog owners, Zenon would make a great introduction dog to the breed as she is very social, friendly and very low drive. She would make an excellent pet dog and would likely not be the best sport dog candidate.

Since Malinois can be very intelligent and active dogs we would like to see Zenon go to a Malinois/Shepherd experienced home who will continue training and give her the appropriate energy outlet so she can be the best companion she can be!
