Zena German Shepherd Dog Monterey, VA
- Spayed / neutered.
- Good in a home with
- Other dogs, cats, children.
I am a classic German Shepherd, good-looking, calm, intelligent, patient, kind. I like people of all ages, other dogs, and tennis balls. I am good with cats. I compete for affection if there are other dogs around but I'm not aggressive. I also like to herd dogs but at my age I can't make that much trouble for anyone. I was very overweight, 100 pounds, when I became a Little Big Dog. I lost 22 pounds because I had a stroke and a kidney infection. I am fine now! I still need to lose weight and I do that by playing with another active dog in the house. I love tennis balls! I love car rides and leash-walks. I may have had a stroke a long time ago as it is normal for me to lean a little to the left side. But I am completely independent and do not need assistance with anything except navigating stairs, and getting in the car. I would love to be your companion, sleeping at your feet is my dream life. Did I say I like tennis balls? Oh, and you can see from the photo, my legs are short. I don't know what that's about. Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated. Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption. 100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest.
Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter.
Please contact us if you have questions about our adoptable dogs, we would love to talk to you!
