Zelda Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix San Diego, CA

Hello! My name is Zelda, and I am about 5yrs old. I'm a female Staffy mix weighing around 55 pounds. My journey started in Mexico, where I was found tied up with my friend Zack and some puppies. After a long wait of nearly two years in Mexico, I’m finally here, ready to find my forever family.

I’m fully potty trained, walk very well on a leash, and I’m crate trained too. I’m a super sweet and affectionate pup who loves to play with stuffy toys—though I must admit, I’m pretty good at destroying them! Belly rubs are my absolute favorite, and I’ll happily enjoy them anytime.

I have some dog reactivity due to past trauma, so I would do best as the only dog in the home. However, I have enjoyed the company of a few larger male dogs and might be able to get along with the right canine companion. I’m great with kids and would love a home where I can get lots of love and attention.

I have mild anxiety and show moderate signs of separation anxiety, like barking or scratching if left alone for too long. I do well in my crate and prefer not to be left alone all day—just a few hours is okay, but I’d love to be part of a family that’s around more often. I’m very social with people and enjoy outings sometimes, though I’m not a huge fan of car rides, but I manage fine on shorter trips.

My ideal home would be one where I’m the only dog, and I’d be happy in any house as long as I get my daily walks and lots of affection. Whether it’s with a family with kids or a single person, I’m sure I’ll bring lots of joy and love into your life.
