Prefers a home without: Cats.

Did You Adopt Zander?

Meet Zander

Zander is approximately three years old and was a staff favorite at a shelter he was pulled from. Zander is a sweet boy that still has a lot of puppy energy and loves to play. He is working on house manners and not jumping up when he is excited. He would make a great hiking partner and loves to go for car rides. He could possibly live with a female dog companion and children over 10 years old. No small pets of any kind, please.

We are not sure if Zander is potty trained. We can provide tips to help you set Zander up for success.

Malamutes were born to hunt, pull, and be part of the family. With positive reinforcement training, we reinforce good behavior and watch the pulling, and predatory behavior slowly diminish as we build muscle memory. You will be amazed at the power of provolone cheese versus chasing a squirrel :) No force, just good treats!
