Zac Woof-ron is a heartthrob movie star looking to settle down with the right person!
As you know from his movie career, Zac is a 2-year-old, purebred red heeler male, about 37 pounds. After finishing his press tour for his latest movie, “Mission Impossible: ACD”, Zac came into foster care with ACDRA when his owner died and he was taken to a shelter in NC. According to his publicist, Zac was tied outside for most of his young life, with little to no interaction with people or other dogs. Now all he wants is to retire from Hollywood and find a forever home.
Zac currently lives on a farm with 2 other ACDs, some cows, and horses. He is super sweet and gives the best body hugs ever! He just wants to be with his person at all times. Zac has great recall and thus a fence isn’t required. He would love to be in active home with an energetic young person and a yard for him to play in. He would also do well on a farm as he is respectful of the horses (although the cows are fair game!). Zac would make a great running, biking, or hiking partner or even agility dog. Zac has had free run of the house during the day and isn’t destructive. At night he settles down and loves to snuggle. He will be easy to train as he is smart and highly food motivated. Zac loves to ride in the car and swim in the pond, and he walks well on the leash. Although he typically sleeps on the bed with his foster dad and canine siblings, he has been crated occasionally and does just fine.
Zac would love to be in ACD-experienced home without cats, and he may be too exuberant for young children. Although he gets along with his foster siblings, they are a bit older and thus little match for his play style. Zac would love to be in a home with a dog who likes to chase and play as much as he does!
