I am a project! Are you looking for me, a small dog who will both challenge you and love you? I am an almost perfect boy except for one small (ahem, maybe not so small) issue. When I get scared and you try to touch me, I might deliver a little bite to your hand. Oops, I said it, but I had to get it out there right at the beginning. The rest is all good news though: I have perfect recall when I am outside off leash, I am 100% housetrained, I love to cuddle and kiss (on my terms), I am great in the car, I am good with other people if they don't try to handle me, and I am cuter than cute. I would prefer not to share my new home with other animals. I am pretty tolerant of other dogs, but I want all the attention from the humans nd I can be a little snippy with big dogs in my home. I'm young, about 3 or 4, I weigh only around 10 pounds. I love being outside and the thing I love most in the world is going on walks. Did I mention I am a perfect hiker? I used to bail out after a mile, but now I can go for half a day. People smile when they see me outside - I spread joy! In the house, I love to burrow under blankets or sit on the back of the couch. I also like to have snuggle sessions where you massage me and I close my eyes in bliss. Although I am fine with people, I may not want them to touch me so you would have to keep me safe. When company comes, I often say hello then go my den in another room. I am a believer in live and let live except when it comes to chipmunks and squirrels. My job is to keep them hiding. Do not call me aggressive! I do not seek trouble - I try to stay away from it. I am basically a chicken, and I will tell you when you need to leave me alone to wallow in my fear, and if you ignore my request, I will let you know with a bark and maybe a snap. My foster Mom says this is all easily managed, you just have to speak my secret language. I am dying to find the person who speaks Yukon. Is it you?
Yukon is being fostered in Cambridge and his adoption fee is $150. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at www.alldogrescue.org, or send an inquiry via PetFinder.
