Meet Yoda
Hi! I’m Yoda ?
My human siblings call me Baby Yoda, Yo Yo and Yoder, so I answer to just about anything! I’m 9 Weeks old and weigh 6lbs and am a retriever mix. I’ll post moms picture in the comments! Some people think I look like a rottie mix but right now I’m a small pup. Mom is around 40lbs.
This sweet little pup is our first foster, and I’d be lying if I said it has been anything less than a perfect experience. Aside from being a tiny bundle of CUTE, he is playful, a nap time snuggler, and SMART!
He uses his wee wee pads in his play pen and knows to go outside as well. He gets easily distracted by twigs and acorns but it’s adorable, and gets right back on track with a tiny tug of the leash! I’ve noted today, that he DISLIKES the cold. This morning he ran right back inside, refusing his morning “walk”. I was also happy to forego that!
Ready for the BEST Part? Yoda SLEEPS ALL NIGHT LONG! Similar to my own children, as long as he can see me, there are no tears, barking etc... His crate is in my bathroom, facing my bedroom so he can see that he has company.
Yoda came to us last week very timid, weary, and shy, and rightfully so as he was rescued from the streets at just under 8 weeks old. In this short time he has made a lot of progress. He is still working on his guarding issues as he learns to trust that his humans will always feed him and he will never go hungry again. Be prepared to be showered with puppy kisses when he is full and happy!
Our house is always buzzing with kids, it’s loud and there is never a shortage of chaos! Yoda has acclimated to this house almost seamlessly. My kids are 9, 8, 5 and 2. He loves chasing them and playing catch with them , as well as trying to snatch and pull at their shirts! While my youngest seems to be his biggest fan, I do have to monitor their playtime very closely because he is starting to nip, and those puppy teeth can sting!
We will be sad to let Yoda go, but excited for him to find his family, he certainly deserves the
best!
