YODA, 3 years old, 60 lbs., is a gorgeous, sweetheart, and smart. He has a lot of high energy and look at how he jumps in the one picture! He has made a lot of progress in the ONE YEAR we have had him in rescue. However, he has the worst severe separation anxiety we have dealt with. We know that Yoda is an awesome Boxer but he has to be with someone all the time. We know that is not always possible. We have checked on being a service dog but told her was too old. He would be awesome to be with someone all the time. Crating has been a real struggle for him. He bent up and got out of the strongest $700 indestructible crate and caused wall damage bouncing the crate around. He has also caused injury to himself in a crate. Medications and CBD oil have not helped. If he is not crated then he is destructive, counter surfer, chewer on furniture, nervous pacing, and so much anxiety. He can not be left outside alone. He will go in his crate to eat with the door open. He destroyed a room at doggie daycare being left there not too long. He needs a home where he is not alone. He doesn't find comfort in other dogs with him when human leaves him. He is very active and loves to play with small and big dogs. He is not aggressive and needs a companion buddy his size in his new home. He plays well with the dogs at doggie daycare. Kids need to be 10 years and older with large dog experience. Ongoing rehab to find out the best place for him when he does have to be left. No cats for Yoda as strong prey drive on squirrels. He is going to take the right home for him and willing to work with him as a severe case. He is in a Foster Home in Cabot, AR so would like to find someone nearby to work with foster on adjusting to a new home. **Please donate to help with expenses as have to provide food, heartworm and flea/tick meds, and vetting while in our care this last year and more time to come as we try to find the right home.
Adoption fee is $275.00. He is neutered, UTD shots, rabies, microchipped, fecal/heartworm negative, and on heartworm prevention. Fenced in yard required. Go to How to Adopt for our Requirements and online Adoption Application at www.BoxerRescueOfTexarkana.com.
