Meet Yasmin (Yazzy)
Energetic, sweet, and silly, this beautiful girl will make a great family pet to anyone with an active lifestyle.
She loves being outside, running around the backyard, playing fetch, going on long walks, and more!!! She'd be a great running buddy too!!!
She can be shy around other dogs and so doesn't do great at the dog park. She prefers to be on her own and by your side. We actually go in the dog park and walk the perimeter giving her just enough socialization. She has made a few friends there. At home, she loves her foster sister Darla who is about the same size her and they run and play for a lot of the day.
She does NOT do well with our older grumpy old man. She's too much for him and so we would recommend that she not be around small dogs.
She loves the cat and they are buddies, even sleeping together sometimes.
Due to her size and energy, would recommend older children because she might knock over younger children. She could be trained to be gentle if you are willing to do the work.
She loves her people and always greets us with lots of wiggling, tail wags, and belly rubs.
She lets us know when there are strangers around, making her a good guard dog and we're still working on "no bark" command, but it's going well.
She warms up to new people coming into the house after a little while. Just give her space to greet them.
Highlights:
- Housebroken
- Crate trained
- Loves car rides
- Does well with other dogs her own size one on one, not at the dog park
- Does well with cats
- Needs time to warm up to new people
