Yakima is a sweet boy who has clearly never had much in the way of training. He's basically a 70 pound puppy who has not yet learned how to appropriately channel his endless amount of energy. Yakima would do best in a dog-experienced home with owners who can be patient with him and consistent with his training. German shepherd experience is not required for adoption, but would likely be helpful. Yakima's perfect match is an active person who wants to take him on lots of walks, runs, hikes, etc. This pup is gonna need lots of physical AND mental stimulation to keep him happy - this means lots of exercise but also lots of activities that will engage his mind. Yakima is still working on his manners and has been known to get a little jumpy and punchy (watch out for the paws!), but that's only because he's just so very happy to see you!
