Meet Xanthippe
Hi, I’m Xanthippe! I was born August 27, 2018 and I’m a female German Shepherd. I have lived with dogs of all sizes and cats (but would do best in a home with dog savvy cats). My foster mom thinks I would do best with another active dog. I need someone with breed experience to help me learn my manners and be my best self. I am crate trained and potty trained. My favorite activity is stealing your shoes, hiding them in my kennel, and using them as a pillow. I’m an active girl and will need an active home that can continue helping me strengthen my legs. My brother and I were rescued after 4 months of being confined in a small space without exercise or proper nutrition so we have developed something called Carpal Laxity Syndrome. My legs have improved with physical therapy, exercise, and proper nutrition.
Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise.
Applications can be found at www.mikeyschance.com and completed on a computer, tablet, and/or phone. Please note that adopters are not chosen on a first come, first served basis, but full consideration is given to the best fit for the dog AND the adopter. Applications can take up to 3 weeks to process. Application submission DO NOT guarantee approval for adoption.
