Meet Xander
Xander needs a furever home!! He is 1.5 years old, neutered, and up-to-date on all his vaccines. He is a stunning, beautiful mix of breeds and appears to be a Cannan or similar breed!
Xander is a great dog who will make a great addition to any family. He is smart, highly trainable, attentive to people, and treat & toy motivated.
He initially was very squirrel obsessed but that has gone away over time as he put on some weight and discovered toys and treats. He should still be properly introduced to animals smaller than him. He likes other dogs but will do best with more socializing and slow introductions until he is confident.
Xander was rescued from Apple Valley shelter in the Fall of 2024 but then his out-of-state adopter vanished while he was waiting for his flight at the airport, so the trainer/transporter graciously agreed to foster him.
He deserves a home of his own where the priorities are exploring outdoors, meeting new friends, and snuggles.
