Meet Wylie
Meet WYLIE!
This brave, handome boy was one of 5 dogs who escaped from an Australian Cattle Dog backyard breeder. Luckily, he was found by a Good Samaritan and a local ACO. He was starving and scared, found eating cat food that someone had left outside. Now, Wylie is safe at our rescue, well fed, leaving his past behind him and ready for a second chance and a fresh new start with YOU! One look into his big, deep brown eyes, and youll be hooked!
At only 20 lbs and less than knee high, Wylie clearly is not an Australian Cattle dog, perhaps a mix, but we dont know for sure. We do know that his unique look resembles a mini coyote, which inspired one of our volunteers to name him after the classic cartoon character Wile E. Coyote and it suits him perfectly! We have already learned that Wylie is a smart boy, and a quick learner. He is also surprisingly great on a leash, and would make a great walking or hiking buddy, and we found out pretty quickly that he loves playing catch!
Wylie would make a great family pet (older children only) for an active, patient family who is willing to give him the space and the time he needs to adjust to his new home at his own pace. He might even be ok with another canine companion (cats unknown).
