Wren's Story
Meet Wren
Breed: Maltipoo
Sex: Female
Color: White
Age: Approximately 8–10 years old
Weight: About 14 lbs
Adoption Fee: $450

Health: Vaccinated, heart-worm negative and on preventative, microchipped, and spayed

Wren is a loving, sweet, and happy girl who is ready to brighten someone’s life. She has an easygoing nature and simply wants to be near her people. At about 8–10 years old, Wren is past the puppy stage and has the calm, grateful spirit that makes senior dogs such a joy to live with.

She’s a little shadow who will follow you from room to room, always with a big grin on her face. Wren greets new people happily, and while she may hesitate for just a moment with men, she warms up quickly and is soon wagging her tail. She enjoys the comfort of her crate and is doing well with her potty pad training.

Senior dogs like Wren bring something truly special into a home—loyalty, companionship, and a deep appreciation for the love they receive. They are often easier to care for than younger dogs, already have a calmer energy, and are so thankful to be part of a family. Wren is the perfect example of why adopting a senior pup can be one of the most rewarding decisions you’ll ever make.

Adoption Information

Please note: Because of their size, our dogs are not suitable for homes with children under 5.

We do not have a physical facility — all of our dogs live in loving foster homes.
Lil’ Paws is a small, all-volunteer organization. To best use our limited time and resources, we are only able to correspond with individuals who have submitted an adoption application.

If you live in the immediate Austin area and are interested in adopting from Lil' Paws Maltese Rescue and Other Petite Paws, please visit www.lilpaws.org This is the first step in our process. Unfortunately, we are unable to adopt outside the Austin area.

Our local adoption requirement is due to the thoroughness of our process, which includes home visits and a trial adoption period to ensure the dog has adjusted well. With our small team of volunteers, it is not possible to conduct these steps outside our area. Even if you are willing to travel, we must keep our efforts local to maintain the integrity of our process.

If you would like to visit with our dogs and their fosters, Meet and Greet Events are held on the first Saturday of each month at the Pet Supplies Plus in Round Rock from noon to 2 p.m.
Pet Supplies Plus
17420 Ranch to Market Rd 620 #150
Round Rock, TX 78681

Our mission is to place our dogs in safe, stable, and loving homes within the Austin area. Thank you for understanding and for supporting rescue!
________________________________________
Supporting Lil’ Paws

Lil’ Paws Maltese Rescue and Other Petite Paws relies on donations to provide the medical care our dogs need before adoption. Every pup receives essential vetting such as spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and dental care — and many require additional or even major medical treatments.
Your donations make this possible.
