WOODROW Mixed Breed Loveland, CO

Meet Woodrow (or Woody as we call him). He is the sweetest boy who is looking for his forever family. This 1.5 yr old Catahoula mix is approximately 45 lbs and has the softest coat.
We don’t believe he’s had the kindest start to life as he is slower to warm to men, is a bit hand shy, and is afraid of loud noises. Luckily with time and patience he is coming out of his shell and revealing a goofy boy who “talks” when he’s excited, follows you around the house and loves toys.
He is house trained and kennel trained and we are working on basic commands and leash walking. He sleeps in the kennel all night without complaint but as he’d rather be by your side he does bark for 5-10 min when you leave the house before settling.
He loves to play with other dogs and would probably excel with a dog friend in the house. He is currently living with dog savvy cats; but doesn’t always understand why he can’t play the same with them as he does his dog friends!
He likes children and is living with a toddler but since we believe he’s been struck by objects before; we think a home where his interactions with young children are supervised or a home with older respectful kids would be best for him.
