Meet Wonder RE
My name is Wonder, like the bread. I am not a pure bread doggie, but I am wholesome and honey drizzled. I will enrich your life and I am the next best thing to sliced bread. Stop. That is actually all a fib. My name is Wonder, because it is a “wonder” that I am walking after being paralyzed by an altercation with an automobile. Boo hoo right? It is much more fun to pretend I am named after bread. Bread is the backbone of society and deserves a standing ovation.
After being bunged up by a car, my back-end refused to coopawrate with my front-end and I had to drag my back legs. The City of San Antonio Animal Care services started my rehabuttlitation to get my booty back in business. I went to a God’s Dogs Rescue Foster Home to continue to work on my coordination. Now I walk, but kinda like a drunk uncle, not too straight, a little crooked, but in a cute way.
I am about 1.5 years old and a girl doggie. I am a mostly white colored with a few toasted spots Terrier mix weighing in at 40 pounds.
I had 99 problems but being sad ain’t one. Once my back end was rehabuttlitated and I could wag my tooshy again, I had a new problem. I was suffering from Happy Tail Syndrome. It’s like a thing. And my tail was knocking into stuff real hard, thump THUMP, kerthud, whack, ouch. During a surgery to remove a fluid filled tumor from my left booty cheek, the Vet also removed my tail so I couldn’t hurt it anymore either. Now I have a nub tail to add to my cute factor.
I love to play with other dogs and having a crooked back-end does not stop my roll. My crooked gait isn’t even something other dogs notice. After playing I like to cuddle in the doggie pile and snooze until it is time to play again. I am described as “delightful”. I like to be in the same room as my human, but I don’t have to be directly underfoot all the time.
I am house and crate trained. Foster Mom has a small door just for doggies and I use it to go outside when I need to relieve myself.
I am a really good dog and don’t even bork, except that one time the other dogs were going litterally nuts over a squirell, of course I joined in and said “bork, bork” just to fit in due to peer pressure. Otherwise I am quiet and sweet and you will be happy to know me, but not as happy as me, I set the bar the Happy meter. Adopt me!
