Meet Wit

Howdy, I’m Wit. I'm a 2 year old, 77 lb Mountain Cur, Lab and Golden mix. Big city life is so exciting for this Kentucky boy! I’m learning all kinds of new things, but one thing I already know is where the bathroom is. I’m housebroken of course! I’m 2 years old so I’m past all that puppy stuff. I might be a little bit shy at first until I get to you know - but I warm up quick because really, I love everybody. I like to be active playing fetch, running, walking and sniffing! I like to investigate, and there’s so much to explore. I’d sure love to have a yard of my own, but it’s not required as long as you’re willing to take me places and do things with me. I like activity! I bet I’d be a great running companion. I could be your personal trainer! I’m a handsome, friendly guy from down south, and I’m really hoping I find my new home soon.

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!
