Winter Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix Omaha, NE

Winter may be small, but she is mighty! She arrived to NALA Rescue on a transport from a shelter in Arkansas and is settling into a foster home. This playful pup has a sporty look and piercing amber eyes that contrast her dark brown fur. Your guess for breed and full grown size is as good as ours as we do not know her parents.

Her favorite activities include wrestling the other pups in her home, following around the humans to see what they're up to, and taking all of the chew toys and squeaky plush toys. Despite her name, she adores the summer weather and loves to explore the outdoors. She also enjoys a long nap on the couch with her humans. She looks forward to finding a home that will play hard and relax hard with her!

Winter has been rocking potty training and already impresses with her dedication to "sit" (as long as you have a treat for her, of course). She is also working on crate training and leash walking. As with all puppies, she will need a home that will provide patience and consistency to help her master these skills.

Winter would likely adapt well to a home with or without another dog, cat, or children as she has enjoyed meeting other creatures of all sorts. She has met kitties, and though she is curious, she is not overly interested. This gal holds her own among her foster siblings, and makes sure to voice her opinion when needed. She takes cues well from adult dogs in the home.
